The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that reservations to visit Al-Raudah at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah are now available once a year.

This is in line with what the Ministry expressed on Platform “X” in response to received questions, confirming that beneficiaries can book permits to visit the Raudah Al-Sharifah up to 365 days after their last permit.

The Raudah is the area between the Prophet Muhammad’s home and pulpit in Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah. It holds huge spiritual significance for Muslims.

The Ministry stated: “To visit Al-Raudah Al-Sharifah, visitors must obtain permits from the Nusuk app or Tawakkalna app on the condition that they do not have COVID-19 or recent contact with infected individuals.”

Demand to visit Al-Raudah keeps increasing so the permits help organize pilgrim entry for short visits of a few minutes to pray for blessings. The precautionary COVID measures also allow safe access to venerated sites.

This updated once-yearly permit policy using government apps streamlines Al-Raudah visit processes so each person can hopefully earn the privilege of brief worship there.
